Rico Friebe Delivers His Groundbreaking Album, “Anthems For A Lost Generation”

Have you ever listened to an artist that made you fall in love with music again? If so, what made them stand out amongst the thousands of artists releasing songs daily. For me, I believe that artists that create music to push the boundaries and elevate the overall feel and sound are the ones that should be celebrated. This week, I came across a singer-songwriter that impressed me with their ability to shine amongst their peers. His name is Rico Friebe. Hailing from Kiel, Germany, Friebe has garnered industry attention due to his ability to craft captivating and engaging records. Now, he enters our pages with his latest project “Anthems For A Lost Generation”.
“Anthems For A Lost Generation” takes listeners on a sonic journey that is carried by engaging sonics, lush melodies, and a theme that evokes raw emotions. The 10-track album is cohesive concept project that discusses a lost generation that is yearning to find their way back to their true selves. In a time where new and media are at the palm of our hands, it is easy to get lost in the hysteria. As part of this new generation, it often feels like we are suffocating or drowning in the decisions of those before us. Rico Friebe tackles these topics on his latest album.
Originally, the album was supposed to be an acoustic project like his previous projects. However, Friebe scrapped that and made an album that I believe to be the most relatable project of the last 5 years. Friebe uses personal experiences & interactions with you to help craft the thought provoking and introspective lyrics that shine on each song. For me, this album is a masterpiece. The emotional & spiritual journey Friebe takes us on is one that you will not want to end. Overall, this has been the best thing I have heard as of recent. My favorite songs were “Bad Seed", "I Like Memes", & "Lazy, Bored And Sad". This is definitely one of early runners for album of the year. Rico Friebe is a great artist, and he has our attention.
