Miss Audrey Herbert, who the fuck are you? After “Sue Me",” her first release back in May, we were feening for more of what she has to offer us. Intruding “Bowling alley,” this whimsical and super quirky, early 2000s coded single, you simply cannot miss.
Herbert is truly coming into the pop scene, and necks are breaking as she throws her towel in the ring. She’s an icon in the making of this intense season of female pop power. You can hear subtle hints of Swift and Halsey within “Bowling Alley” with a very nineties kid ad-lib incorporation.
We love how authentic and truly different Herbert is. Her best quality is how she zones in on her one-of-a-kind personality. She shines in this originality, and it’s so genuine that it feels as though she’s a friend talking to you about her day throughout the song. Let’s just say I think a lot of us would DIE to go to the “Bowling alley” with Audrey!
Lyrics That Stick
“But I got my jeans on and my crown on
And the whole place totally cares if I go or not
So wrong to think everyone loves me?
And they need to be around me all the time”
