Myles Cameron is an emerging artist who grew up in the suburbs of New York in a town called Rye. Over the past couple of years, he has captivated many with his unique sound that blends contemporary R&B with a nice touch of pop elements throughout. Although he had a small hiatus over the last year with only one song to show for, the rising artist is back with his second single of 2021 called “Lord of the Flies” featuring Downtown Kayoto.

The track is a smooth anthem full of lush melodies and mature songwriting. My favorite part of the production is that it feels like a build up all the way through, and I hear new interesting sounds every time I listen. This has to be one of his most angst driven songs to date and the feature from Kayoto is the chef’s kiss. Although the song focuses on feeling stuck in life at a young age, there is this bit of hope that I can sense in the songwriting and production near the end. With that being said, stream the song below.

Lyrics That Stick:

'‘Sometimes I’ll find myself in your shoes

That day won’t come by calling”
