Lorde Has Everyone Screaming “What Was That”

Lorde is back Baby! She’s here and making a MASSIVE comeback with her first new song in over 4 years “What Was That.” The beginning of the song seems to be a soft-spoken, vulnerable ballad accompanied by the delicate strum of the guitar. It very quickly picks up tempo and you enter this vivacious chorus and recognize the Lorde we all know and love.

Throughout the song, Lorde questions how different life is from the one she’s currently living. She feels like her past is still in her present and she’s trying to navigate that. “What Was That,” has us excited for Lorde embarking on her comeback!

It might just be a Lorde Summer.
