If you are looking for your new guilty pleasure, look no further. Emerging avant-garde pop witch, Steinsdotter, has everyone talking about her innovative sound. She is raw, and her records are captivating to the core. Crafting a sound that can be considered ethereal electronic pop, she brings an edge that will keep you coming back for more. Now, she enters our pages with her latest release “Lone Wolf”.

The release package includes 3 tracks, led by a collaboration with Agon Branza (producer of Steinsdotter’s “Nightshift,” “Come At Me,” and “Read My Hips”), followed by a spellbinding piano interpretation by Sarah Kershaw (touring member of the Steinsdotter band), and wrapped up with the live performance recording of “Lone Wolf” at the Relic Room in New York City.

For me, this is one of my favorite releases of the year. As an artist myself, it is amazing to see an artist craft 3 different versions of the same song and still leave a lasting impact with each. My favorite has to be the original. There is something about the intensity of the song that allows you to connect with it a bit more. I could feel the raw emotion, and the production allowed me to feel the lyrics. In addition to the original track, she also released a piano version & a live version, The piano version of the single opens a new meaning of the title term, as Kershaw brilliantly unfolds the song into a relaxing environment for solitude. The live version, however, showcases the true experience that is Steinsdotter.

Steinsdotter is enigmatic to say the least, but she has that “IT” factor. In a time where music artists have lost that bit of mystery, Steinsdotter has swooped in to take the reins. She is the perfect balance of in your face while also being very intriguing. “Lone Wolf” is a release that deserves your attention so stream it below!
