EMMY - “Crying In My Boots”

Hailing from Cleveland, OH, emerging singer-songwriter, EMMY, is everything the industry needs right now. I have yet to hear an artist as raw and reflective as her. At only 23-years-old, her ceiling is high. From her songwriting to her exceptional vocal tone, she shines. Although she still has ways to go, her new single “Crying In My Boots” is one of my favorite recent finds. The record is her 3rd ever release, and it’s a special song off of her upcoming debut EP. Laced with lush melodies, warm sonics, and a bedroom-pop feel, EMMY brings the listener in from to start to finish. Overall, this is one of the best songs I have heard this week!

palmboy - “antisocial”

If you need a song that makes you feel seen, stop what you are doing and listen to palmboy’s latest hit “antisocial”. For those of us that like to spend alone time with our significant others, palmboy creates a song that dives into the beauty of cutting off the rest of the world to enjoy time with this one person. The record is about enjoying your favorite person’s company and using these antisocial “moments” to cherish the simple things. “antisocial” is a catchy single carried by an ear-worm hook and engaging sonics. For me, this record sounds like ear-candy, but it also gives an alternative perspective that is both positive and cute. So, stream the record below!

saturn 17 - “BEWARE OF DOG”

saturn 17 is a band that continues to impress me. After getting me hooked to their single “magazine”, I knew that this band was here to stay. Known for their nostalgic indie-rock sound, they take me back in time to the beauty of late 90’s & early 2000s music. Their songs are dynamic, and they structure their songs to keep you engaged. For me, I love their ability to craft some of the most intoxicating hooks within the indie-rock genre. Although I could compliment them for days, they have recently released their infectious new single “BEWARE OF DOG”. “BEWARE OF DOG” is written about a toxic relationship where the lines of love and obsession are blurred, with lyricism equating this unhealthy devotion to the loyalty that a dog might feel to their owner. Noname Ali - “I Hope Your Man Gets A Career Ending Injury”

Have you ever felt like giving an ex-lover the middle finger after they moved on? Well, if you have, I have the perfect song for you. Burgeoning star, Noname Ali, lands on our pages with his daring single “I Hope Your Man Gets A Career Ending Injury”. The record dives into the mind of a scorned lover that wishes the worst to his ex-lover and their new man. Although the song is dark, the upbeat sonics make this such a catchy song to sing along to. I love the juxtaposition of the warm sonics mixed with the darker lyrical themes. It’s a well written song that I find to be relatable. For those of us that have been heartbroken, we can truthfully say that sometimes we let our intrusive thoughts get the best of us. This is one of my favorite records of the week so stream it below!

Zoe Ko - “Pink Noise”

If you could take the very best elements of Olivia Rodrigo & Gwen Stefani, you would get rising singer-songwriter Zoe Ko. Although I'm still new to her discography, I haven't felt connected with an artist like this. She has this essence and aura that can't be replicated. Her vocal delivery is otherworldly, and her songwriting evokes raw emotions. Now, she returns to our pages with her single "Pink Noise". Her latest record, "Pink Noise", is another testament to her maturity and exceptional ability as an artist. The record is fierce, raw, and in your face. Ko shows flashes of greatness, and I love how her records discuss the need for female empowerment. Zoe Ko is an artist that doesn’t hold back, and that’s what makes her a star. She is next up so add this song to your rotation.

pH-1 - “360° (feat. CHIKA)”

pH-1 has been one of the most polarizing artists this year. The Seoul-based rapper has garnered a dedicated fanbase due to his innate ability to craft captivating records. He is bold, daring, and real. In an industry that is more competitive than ever, pH-1 continues to shine above his counterparts. His songs are self-reflective, and they have this introspective side that is easy to connect with. Gaining my attention due to his prolific flows and lyrical prowess, he enters our pages with his latest single “360°” featuring Grammy-nominated rapper CHIKA. “360°” dives into the ebbs and flows of falling in love within a relationship. Both artists capture the vibe of the record, and I loved the chemistry between them. The vocal performances were exceptional, and I loved the songwriting. Laced with lush melodies, warm sonics, and engaging synths, the song will have you hooked from the first note. So, stream the song below!
